A return to my old style of shading... which I believe can be best summed up as...
"DARK SHADE ALL THE THINGS!"
(My irl friend nicknamed my old work "50 shades greyer" due to the dark shading >/<)

Oh as for the critique... I'm just generally looking for advice and guidance on technique really :3 Though this was done from midnight to 3am so be gently... but not too gentle! A sugar coated world leads to cavities after all...

I think it might be a good idea if you do clearer shading. Right now, even though I can see the difference between parts of the body and where the light is coming from, it's still quite unclear. You could also do with making your shading neater within the lines, maybe more solid too. All of these things would make a much cleaner-looking finish to your pictures.
